The Bay Area Poker Club is a group of poker players who have joined in a club to play a series of tournaments over the course of August through May. Each week requires a commitment of $130 and new players make a refundable deposit of $500 to ensure that they will play at least 32 of the 42 tournaments. While any poker room can be different on any given occasion, these two rooms usually have very different atmospheres. THR, and its equivalent in Hollywood, come the closest to being Las Vegas style casinos in Florida. DL is a well done, relatively new, room at a dog track with large expanses of glass windows overlooking the track.
